Solid Oak Software, Inc. diligently protects its copyrights, trademarks, patents and other intellectual property rights.

In the United States and many other countries, copyright law provides for severe civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized reproduction, distribution, and illegal registration of copyrighted material. Copyrighted material includes, but is not limited to computer programs and accompanying sounds, images and text. Under U.S. law, infringement may result in civil damages of up to $100,000 and/or criminal penalties of up to five years imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine.

Whenever CYBERsitter is installed and a serial number is entered on the "Register" page, certain information is transmitted to us automatically. This allows us to determine if the user is legally registered user. In other words, we know exactly what computers CYBERsitter has been installed on for each serial number issued.

Legally registered users are free to install CYBERsitter on as many computers as they purchased licenses for, but if they exceed this number, they should expect to receive an inquiry from us regarding the excess installations.

Users that install CYBERsitter and attempt to register it using stolen, borrowed, or hacked serial numbers can and will be traced, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
